Tamia Parker, LMHCA

Tamia Parker, LMHCA, is an associate therapist at Courageous Healing with eight years of experience. A Fort Wayne native, she is deeply passionate about giving back to her community and walking alongside others as they heal and grow.

Her trauma-informed approach creates safe, affirming spaces where clients feel seen and empowered. Drawing on DBT and CBT, she helps clients address inner child wounds, generational pain, and survival-based coping — reframing strength as the ability to feel, rest, and reclaim self-worth.

Tamia also has extensive experience in substance use and recovery, helping clients understand the emotional roots of addiction while building sustainable tools for connection, accountability, and long-term healing in a nonjudgmental space.

Warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, she specializes in working with teens, couples, and individuals navigating intergenerational trauma, identity-based stress, and survival mode — guiding them toward a life rooted in meaning and self-understanding.

"I became a therapist to create a safe space where every person feels emotionally safe, seen, and empowered to heal in a loving way. To support individuals in healing each layer of their story through re-parenting and redefining strength beyond struggle, guiding people in reclaiming their self-worth and embracing the love and care they may have never received.”
