Stephanie Burton, LMHC

Stephanie is a licensed clinician, author, and program manager whose work lives at the intersection of culture, story, and healing. She brings herself to the therapeutic relationship in a way that feels like being truly witnessed without any part of you being too much.

She holds culture as a given. In working with Stephanie, you don't have to explain why rest has always felt like something you weren't allowed to have, why your family dynamics are layered in ways that don't fit a standard framework, or why spirituality and community are inseparable from your healing. Stephanie is curious about the stories you've been carrying, beyond just the symptoms. She'll name patterns gently and help you trace where they came from. She understands that what's happening in you often didn't start with you—and that getting free is its own kind of intergenerational gift.

Stephanie currently holds professional membership in the American Counseling Association (ACA), and is trained in treating Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Additionally, Stephanie is an author. She self-published her first book, “Sisterhood & Seasons Workbook: Reflections and Practices for the Seasons of Black Women’s Friendships” in December 2025.

When she's not in session, Stephanie is coloring, writing, crafting, listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks, or watching historical and sociocultural documentaries and classic Black sitcoms or guilty pleasures like Love Is Blind. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a wife to her best friend, a mama to one radiant daughter, a dog mom, and a caregiver in the sandwich generation—held up by strong women, deep friendships, and a whole lot of love.

"Healing is redemptive and carries a covenantal, sacred inheritance rooted in the promises passed through generations. Rest is a birthright, and every season you move through—you are worthy of love."
