Karla Lipsey, LMHC

Karla Lipsey, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the Greater Fort Wayne Area. She is currently employed at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission as the Sr. VP of Program Operations and is a graduate of IPFW with a master’s degree in education with a focus in mental health counseling. Karla continues to feed her passion as it relates to mental health by practicing individual, family, and couple's therapy at Courageous Healing, INC.  She specializes in Trauma Focused Therapy (TF-CBT) Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Karla also has a wealth of knowledge as it relates to other psychotherapy techniques and methods to help those who need assistance with managing their mental health. Karla was born and raised in South Bend, IN, however she and her family have been residents of Fort Wayne for the last 26 years. Karla enjoys reading (now listening to podcasts & audiobooks), traveling, and spending time nurturing and guiding her family alongside her husband. She is an active member of the Black Mental Health Society as well as an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Karla’s ability to process information, assess situations from several different perspectives, as well as her active listening skills, and ability to show empathy to the individuals she serves has lent to her success in the mental health arena.
