Joseline Matias, LMSW

Joseline Matias, LMSW or Josie (she/her), is a bilingual (English, Spanish) Licensed Therapist at Courageous Healing.

Joseline grew up in Fort Wayne and was raised by a single mother. "Growing up in a Latino household, therapy wasn't really accessible, and it came with labels or sometimes shame." She became a therapist to give people a trusted space to process and reclaim their voices, free from judgment.

Joseline's top modalities include person-centered and trauma-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and Traditional Talk Therapy (Psychotherapy).

Joseline works with adults, teens, children, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, trauma, eating disorders, and more. She loves to learn and is always reading and researching other therapeutic interventions to serve her clients best, as she believes each client is unique. She also wants her clients to feel comfortable moving at their own pace until they feel safe to be their most vulnerable selves.

In her free time, she loves traveling, being active (boxing, Zumba, cycling, yoga), and spending time with her Pitbull Princess.
